On the way to Sungai Bil Tanjong Malim... we passed a traditional flour shop about 500m from the Tanjong Malim traffic lights. We were attracted to the signboard and upon visiting, we discovered that the shop was using old machines to grind the flour and spices. I approached the owner, asked if she were to allow photographs to be taken and she was more than willing. We discovered that, the shop was established in the early 1940s. We purchased some curry and korma powder and bought 2 kg of rice flour that was milled there and then.

After passing the flour shop... I was attracted to a signboard "Perkampungan Orang Asli Chengong". I asked our host, if we could stop for photo shoots. Being local, he said okay and I made the turn into the small road.. just nice for my MPV and hope that we are not going to have any in comming traffic. We have to stop a number of times to allow the villagers and their animal to pass through. It's unique experience for the kids!!! Upon arrival, my host spoke to the head and explain what we or rather.. I wanted to do. He gave his go ahead with exceptions. No close shots of the women doing their laundry by the river... only long shots. This is because as some of their husbands were away working. It is okay if they are still single as the head can grant the permission. To avoid unnecessary aggrevation or rather complications... I decided just to do a long shot. Then there is no need for any interviews and being mistaken as a husband candidate. Upon completing the shoot, I asked if there is any gifts required to be given to the head... my host and the headsman both laugh smile and said that this is year 2005 not 1905. We thanked the head and off we go to my host's house in Sungai Bil.
